Elementary Track Meet Friday May 15th concerning high school students... High School students attending the trackmeet with their parents will have to be signed out with Kathy by their parents by Thursday (14th) if possible. NOTE...parents will still need to come in Friday morning and check the student out at the end of first period. This way it assures us that all students have a parent sponsor who is responsible for them. The track meet does not start until 9:00 a.m. so students are to report to first period class and may leave toward the end of the 1st period.

Those wishing to eat the school noon meal(hot dog, beans, chips, cookie) at the track will receive a lunch ticket when signed out Friday morning. (Kathy will let the kitchen know how many high school tickets were issued that morning so they know how much extra food to send out.) This meal will be credited to your school lunch ticket and you will be included on the daily count for that day. Kathy needs to have a count by 9:00 a.m to give to the kitchen. High School students not having a lunch ticket from Kathy will not be allowed to eat at the track field and they will not be allowed to come in and eat with the other students inside.

As a reminder... Students signed out will not be allowed to come in the school during the day (unless a teacher has signed in with Mr. Hull that they need to come in to take a test, etc.)

Track student helpers will be counted on the high school count and will be issued a ticket Friday morning so track students may eat out at the track field. Remember track students have to be in good standing academically to help at the track meet. If you are on the ineligibility list next Tuesday, you will not be helping.

There will be a football meeting on Thursday (14th)... during Study Hall in Mr. Baber's room.

Spanish 2 students created a newspaper... Please take time to visit and see their work in the high school library.

Student Council Fundraising Information... The tentative delivery date for the fundraising food items is set for May 12th so all students will need to be prepared to take home or have those items picked up from school on that day.

All library books are to be returned by Thursday, May 14th.

Congratulations Ally Krumwiede... On Saturday, Ally Krumwiede had the opportunity to go to Omaha to attend the 9th annual Opera Omaha Poetry and Music Project concert. Out of nearly 90 submissions across the state of Nebraska, Ally's poem, Enough Exactly as I Am was one of 14 selected to be set to music by a professional composer. At the concert, Ally's friends and family were able to hear the song brought to life by professional singers and musicians working with Opera Omaha. Ally's poem can also be found in a published anthology available in Omaha Public Libraries!

Meridian Alumni Banquet June 6th Meridian Alumni Banquet Registration Form

Activities are being planned for the Meridian Alumni Banquet to be held Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at the Tobias Auditorium. Social Hour starts at 6:00 and the meal will be served at 7:00. The honored classes are 1971, 76, 81, 86, 91, 96, 2001, 2006, 11, 16, 21, and 26.
