District Office Bulletin for Friday, February 27, 2026
Boys wrestling check-in will be Friday February 27... during Study Hall in the Art room. Please bring all washed singlets and warm - ups along with headgear and knee pads. You will also be voting on post season honors at this time.
Spring Play... Any student in 7th-12th grade who is interested in participating in the spring play, please plan to attend a brief interest meeting in Ms. Ellis's room on Friday during high school study hall. If you cannot attend the meeting, please find another time to speak with Ellis ASAP. Please bring a general idea of what your spring schedule will look like.
Congratulations to the Junior High Quiz Bowl... ESU 5 Junior High Quiz Bowl - Meridian divided into two teams; A & B. Meridian B had two rough rounds and were eliminated in the double elimination bracket. Meridian A won their first four rounds leading them into the championship game where they faced Freeman A for the second time. The match ended with sudden death tie and Freeman A took the round. With this being Meridian A's first loss, they immediately played Freeman A again this time taking the win of 90 to 10. With this win, Meridian took 1st place out of 16 teams from 9 school districts! Congratulations to Owen Davis, McKinley Skiles, Brodie Ellingson, and Vivian Ramos

There is a sign up sheet for the juniors and seniors for post prom... outside Ms. Hermsmeier's office. If you are planning on attending post prom, you need to sign up with your shirt size by March 17th. This will ensure that we have a prize for each junior and senior too. This is only for Meridian juniors and seniors, not their dates.
Friday's menu... Grades 7-12 and staff...Tuna Salad Sandwich will be an option on Friday in place of the BBQ Rib Sandwich. But you must sign up by Thursday if you want a tuna salad sandwich.
